Happy New Year from the Lima Lima Flight Team
What a better way to get off to a smoking 2006 than by the picture of the team
coming back from Acapulco in November and flying by the active Popocatetl
Volcano just Southeast of Mexico City. The volcano's peak is 17,887 above sea
level and at the time of the photo we were at an altitude of 11,500 feet on our
way to Tampico. The ability to fly at higher altitudes allows us to take
advantage of both lower fuel burns and favorable tail winds. This capability is
made possible by our portable oxygen systems which are provided by one of our
great sponsors, Precise Flight, Inc.
Since we took seven aircraft to the show, John Rippinger was able to break out
of the formation to get the shot of the Lima Lima six ship wedge formation.
Turn up your sound for a little of Jimmy Buffett's rendition of Volcano.
