The Double Overtake

This picture of the Double Overtake was taken by Ron Mrowiec at the 2007 Chicago Air & Water Show.
It shows the diamond formation (minus the slot pilot) with gear and flaps down and an airspeed of
75 knots. You can see the number five aircraft just about to complete his 360 degree turn while
 pulling over 4 G's and then passing (overtaking) the diamond formation at over 200 knots for the
second time while at show center. This maneuver demonstrates the minimum and maximum speeds
of our vintage T-34 aircraft.
